Mercedez-Benz Trucks, yarın kapılarını açacak Afrika Havacılık ve Savunma gösterisinde ‘dayanıklı’ araçlarını sergileyecek. Centurion Waterkloof’ta Pazar gününe kadar sürecek organizasyona katılacaklar, Unimog U5000, Zetros ve Actros 3344A/45 gibi askeri seviye araçları inceleme fırsatını bulacaklar.

Unimog’un şu an onlarca versiyonu bulunuyor, çok amaçlı 4x4’lük canavar 1940ların ikinci yarısından itibaren ortaya çıktı. Sivil ve askeri bir çok uygulama için kullanılabilir olan aracın turbo dizel 5.1 litrelik motorlu 231bg’lik gücüyle tren yolunda kullanılmak için tasarlanmış U 423 adlı bir modeli bile mevcut.

Bu yılın başlarında bir U 318 modeli sahibi bir adam Unimog’unu yemek kamyonuna çevirdi. 400 kilogramlık yiyecek doldurulabilen araçta mutfak bölümünde yok yok. Gazlı ocak, lavabo ve birçok mutfak aletleri mevcut.

Actros ve Axor serisini temel alan Zetros ise çok yönlü bir araç. 16 tonluk bir kapasiteye sahip. 7.2 litrelik turbo motoru ve dünyayı yerinden oynatan 1,300 nM torka sahip.

Mercedes’in ordu için ürettiği modeller tüm zorlu koşullarda hayatta kalabilmek için tasarlandı ve neredeyse yok edilemezler. Araç asker yeşili rengiyle ve büyük lastikleriyle efsane görünüyor.

PRETORIA – Mercedes-Benz is set to exhibit a selection of its military offerings at this year’s Africa Aerospace and Defence (AAD) exhibition – taking place from 14 September until 18 September at the Air Force Base in Waterkloof, Centurion.

As part of AAD, Mercedes-Benz Trucks is displaying a selection of vehicles, including the Unimog U5000 and the Actros 3344A/45.

All-wheel-drive and an extremely torsionally flexible frame provide the robust vehicle with endless advantages in rough terrain. The Unimog U5000 brings crew, materials and heavy equipment to even the remotest of conflict zones.
